Dan McCartney is the Head of Organic Search at Hallam, leading a team of experts in driving meaningful growth for B2B brands through Organic Search. Thinking beyond Google and with a data-led approach, he focuses on tying Organic strategies to revenue, ensuring that every initiative delivers tangible business impact.

With 10 years’ experience spanning both hands-on delivery and leadership, Dan has worked across industries including Retail, Legal, Automotive, Fashion, SaaS and Financial Services. Before stepping into leadership, he built a strong track record of driving impactful revenue from Organic Search – now, he empowers his team to do the same while fostering their personal and professional growth.

A people-first leader, Dan believes the best results come when teams love what they do. Under his leadership, the Organic Search team operates under a vision known as KELI – Knowledgeable Experts that Love Innovation – ensuring they stay at the forefront of search trends. Driving innovation and experimentation is a key part of his remit, helping Hallam stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry.

Beyond strategy, Dan thrives on troubleshooting performance issues, whether tackling complex SEO challenges or diagnosing growth roadblocks.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar and singing, gaming, socialising with friends, and hiking.
