The client
Convertr is a lead management platform with an efficient, user-friendly interface to improve data accuracy and conversion rates for businesses, acting as an essential partner to many big brands. Founded in 2011, Convertr aims to simplify the lead generation process through automation and integration. With a workforce spanning NOAM, EMEA and APAC, Convertr works with teams globally, including Marketing, Ops and Finance functions. Their primary target businesses are enterprise ones, such as existing clients like Amazon and HP.
Convertr’s CEO & Founder, Emma, is an ambassador for the tech space, specialising in the impact of ground breaking technology on business. Whilst growing and embedding their internal Marketing team, Convertr approached Hallam seeking a collaborative approach to their website revamp.
The challenge
Convertr approached Hallam with an outdated website that no longer reflected their brand or industry leadership, and which experienced low engagement and underwhelming conversion rates, largely down to overly technical language that alienated their target audience on site.
Convertr’s key challenges for Hallam were threefold:
Firstly, Convertr had no clean way of quickly explaining their relatively complex product. We needed to review and improve key messaging, focusing on simple language that users could understand, rather than technical jargon.
Secondly, there were the visual challenges we needed to address. There was flexibility in how we could apply the brand guidelines, which needed to be done in a modern way, refreshing the whole website to look clean, give clarity to the user and showcase what Convertr do in an understandable way.
Finally, upon creating a cohesive website, which ultimately has the objective of driving more conversions to the business, we needed to ensure more website data and insights were available through GA4 implementation.
What we did
Convertr needed a bold transformation, and fast. Together, we set out to build more than just a new website. The goal was a standout digital experience tailored to enterprise B2B clients, with a sharp, focused message and a future-ready platform to support growth.
Our collaborative, results-driven strategy included:
Discovery workshop: We kicked things off by aligning on goals, defining user personas and pinpointing Convertr’s ideal audience – enterprise clients with bigger budgets and specific needs. This early clarity helped shape everything that followed.
UX and sitemap development: With the audience in mind, we streamlined the navigation and grouped content meaningfully. The aim: provide a clean, intuitive experience without overwhelming users, focusing on clarity and conversion.
Wireframes & content narrative: During wireframing, we mapped out page structures and crafted user journeys that spoke directly to our primary audience without alienating fringe users. It was all about balance: bold messaging, clear narratives and easy paths to action.
Branding with impact: While Convertr’s brand guidelines offered flexibility, we introduced vibrant, recognisable elements, like their signature red, into key CTAs and UI highlights, moving away from the previous soft, muted tones for a more confident and high-contrast feel.
Design & Build: The UI was built with responsiveness and accessibility at its core. Development and Design worked closely together to ensure seamless implementation. The result? A site that looks great and performs flawlessly across all devices, whilst being fully accessibility-compliant.
SEO-first content: Every element was optimised for search and conversion, with keyword-rich content and strategically placed CTAs to drive engagement and lead generation.
The above allowed us to achieve a modern, scalable WordPress site – launching ahead of schedule, with accessibility, performance and business growth front-of-mind throughout the entire process.
The results
We can already see significant improvement when it comes to user behaviour on site. Since launching we can see:
- 15% increase in overall events on site
- 51% increase in homepage events
- 6% increase in time spent on site
Above all, the project was seamless thanks to the collaborative effort of both the Convertr and Hallam teams. From tight timelines to shifting stakeholders, the project moved swiftly thanks to a strong, open collaboration between both teams.
