The client
Arc is a Managed Service Provider (MSP) specialising in building data systems and offering IT support services. From complex data warehousing projects to day-to-day laptop repairs, Arc supports businesses of all sizes with their digital transformation, cloud migrations and legacy system integrations.
Arc have been growing within the IT industry for over 30 years and are proud of their history, whilst looking to the future: predicting emerging tech trends and constantly innovating to ensure businesses stay ahead.
With a strong technical foundation and a reputation for service excellence, Arc had evolved beyond their roots as a locally-focused MSP and approached Hallam to ensure their brand reflects their capabilities today, setting them up to be able to scale.
The challenge
Arc had big plans for growth and it was clear that their existing brand was holding them back. It no longer reflected the breadth of their services, their national reach or the maturity of the business and did not visually represent the meaningful impact Arc delivers for clients. For their website, their Core Web Vitals score needed improvement, especially on mobile, and a legacy Site Builder and outdated plugins meant it was hard to manage updates internally..
Arc approached Hallam in need of a full brand refresh and a new website but with limited time, this had to be lean, efficient and immediately impactful. The goal: create a scalable brand and digital presence that would support rapid growth without slowing them down. Arc needed to elevate their brand to be bigger, national not local, and to better represent the full suite of capabilities they offer today.
What we did
We delivered a full end-to-end project, combining Brand Strategy, UX, UI, Development and SEO to give Arc the foundation and tools they needed to grow. This is how Hallam approach all projects of this nature but Arc needed to move swiftly ahead of launching and required us to transfer knowledge to empower their internal team to continue the website’s growth.
Brand Strategy: We worked closely with key stakeholders to define Arc’s positioning, values and key strengths. This strategic foundation informed every part of the visual and digital output.
Modular design system: We built a flexible system of design blocks they can use to build new pages and evolve the site as the business grows.
Website build: Developed in WordPress, the site is fully CMS-controlled through an intuitive interface and custom built suite of flexible block components, giving Arc’s team the ability to manage and scale their content independently. From new pages to new service areas, the platform is designed for growth.
Performance & accessibility: We applied our best-practice approach with regards to performance, accessibility and Core Web Vitals. The result is a fast, inclusive and future-proof website that works for every user.
The implementation of all brand work was overseen by UX and UI experts to ensure an optimal user journey, whilst our SEO experts ensure organic visibility is taken into consideration whilst the website is developed.

The results
Since launching the new website, we’re thrilled with the results we’re seeing from overall website performance.
We have taken the site to a score of 95%+ according to Page Speed Insights, meaning our overall performance, user experience, loading speed and overall quality on both mobile and desktop devices are working as we’d hope.
What’s more, GA4 data shows us that since launch the engagement with the website has soared with the following showing the same time pre and post-launch:
- 207% increase in time spent on site
- 32% increase in engaged sessions per user
- 21% increase in overall page views
Ultimately, we achieved the goal of elevating Arc’s brand at speed and passed on solid foundations for future growth. The team at Arc were brilliantly collaborative throughout the project and ensured we stayed on track and delivered.
