In our second diversity and inclusion report with The Agency Collective, we want to find out whether any progress has been made since last year in the diversity of the agency world. With agencies all across the UK taking part in the 2023 survey, we’re collectively taking the right steps to hold ourselves accountable and improve diversity and inclusion in our industry.
This year’s report continues to raise awareness of what needs to be done by showing where we are now and where agencies need to improve by highlighting what has changed in comparison to last year.
Our thoughts on this year’s report

Now we want to go one step further and see what’s changed in the time since and provide more guidance for agency owners.”

The main headlines
- -37% of people of Asian ethnicity are underrepresented in both the workforce and management positions.
- 40% of leadership team members are female, despite women making up more of the workforce. This is down by 3% from 2021.
- 7% of the agency workforce identify as LGBTQ+, which is more than twice the figure for the UK population.
- Only 34% of agencies ask if an employee is neurodiverse, down by 9% compared to 2021.
